FREELANCE MUSICIAN
Self Employed | Seattle, WA | January 2006-Present

• Performs professionally as a pit orchestra musician on both piano and woodwinds with performance experience in the southern US and the greater Seattle area with experience working on more than 40 productions.

• Music Director for theatrical productions and projects. Recent projects include the Season Preview Dinner for Fifth Avenue Theatre, Anastasia with Athens Creative Theatre, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Willows Preparatory School

• Served as the artistic director and principal flutist for Quintet Athens, a wind quintet based in Athens, GA overseeing personnel, rehearsals, performance logistics, and season planning for the ensemble.

• Founded and directed the Athens Flute Choir from 2009-2013, a non-profit community flute choir established to provide creative opportunities for local flutists to enrich the community through free and accessible concert programming.

• Collaborative pianist specializing in musical theatre repertoire having played for numerous voice studio recitals, NATS, Solo & Ensemble, auditions, rehearsals, and choirs.

• Solo pianist for weddings, funerals, corporate, and special events comfortable performing in a wide range of musical styles.

• Collaborated with Kishi Bashi for the first iteration of Kishi Bashi and Strings as the maestro leading a chamber orchestra of 30 players.

• Was awarded a community artist grant for Symphonic Story Time: Stories by Classic City Kids which helped to support Quintet Athens’ continuing efforts to create pathways to the arts through collaborative music projects

• Headed music direction efforts for all musical theatre productions including coaching, staffing musicians, teaching music to cast members, accompanying rehearsals and auditions, preparing rehearsal materials, and conducting performances.

• Music directed more than 20 productions during my tenure with ACCLS.

• Assisted in planning, developing, and evaluating programs, preparing budgets, writing curriculum, and preparing materials.

• Managed internal calendars and scheduling for space usage and meetings as well as public facing calendars for programs and events.

• Project managed theatrical productions, musical revues, and special music performance assignments ensuring projects remained on budget, on time, and to the quality standards of ACCLS.

• Instructed theatrical classes and programs for youth ages 8-12, teens, and adults.

• Developed the Hit The Pit program providing aspiring pit orchestra musicians and adult amateurs the opportunity to play alongside and be mentored by local professionals in theatrical pit orchestras.

• Oversaw the recruitment, retention, and management of volunteer and contracted music personnel.

• Developed the Music Leadership Program providing paid work opportunities for university aged singers to gain practical experience working in a choral music setting.
